50 Individual members of the Institute attended the first Members Day event on the 17th September. The aim of this inaugural meeting was to open the dialogue with our individual members to help support their challenges with initiating and developing collaborative working within their organisations. As such this one day event focused first on highlighting the current initiatives of the Institute and capturing their thoughts and ideas for the future.
David Hawkins, ICW Knowledge Architect, outlined the progress towards ISO 11000, the Awards programme and development initiative related to behavioural profiling. Mehmet Chakkol provided an overview of the benefits realisation research programme which Warwick Business School was conducting on behalf of ICW. New Information Paradigms shared their latest thinking on behavioural measure and change management. David Sanders from Costain entertain the gathering with his particular perspective on how he focuses people development.
The event was structured to provide plenty of opportunity to network, share ideas and experiences. The later part of the day was driven by a question and answer session which raised a number of issues for the future. This included an agreement to establish these events every four months.
