Clive is an independent practitioner with some 40 years experience in civil engineering and implementing best practice management themes. Having been responsible for the execution of a wide range of major projects at all levels up to Area Manager with Miller Civil Engineering (now part of Morgan Sindall), he was appointed Business Development Manager at a time of great change in the construction industry. Since starting his own practice in 2000 he has worked with a number of pan-sector organisations managing collaborative networks, facilitating partnering workshops and undertaking practioner led research projects into aspects of collaboration.
After a period of design experience in the UK and Central Africa, Clive moved to contracting and in addition to traditional contracts became responsible for the execution, from 1990, of cost reimbursable tunnelling, main drainage, water and sewage treatment plant projects. He developed the company's "Approach to Partnering", contributing to successful strategic and project partnering relationships with major industry clients and later engaged PSL (now ICW) to assist him in refining their supply chain management procedures.
He has led the prequalification process for projects using collaborative contract conditions and has facilitated partnering in variety of business contexts.
