Provides a full understanding of the application of collaborative principles

The ideal course for those people that will be directly involved in collaborations and who are operating as collaborative practitioners - managing a relationship, a procurement, supply chain, business development, commercial management lead etc. Provides an excellent understanding of how to establish, build and sustain effective collaborative relationships.

After completing this course, you will understand the fundamental and core aspects of managing structured collaborations within the business and at the relationship level including:

  • Collaborative Culture and why it is not just about behaviours.
  • Leadership and why it matters both from the top and to the teams and people that need to work together. What leadership competency and skills you need to display.
  • Importance of competence and skills management within your organisation and partners.
  • Why collaborative behaviours are different vs other business interactions and their importance to success – how to communicate and interact.
  • Addressing risk in collaboration and the opportunities for it to be managed jointly with partners.
  • Where should we collaborate and with whom - how you need to determine this by appreciating the importance of segmentation and partner selection fit.
  • Common Purpose and why this is crucial. Plus developing the specific collaboration Business Case, (Govt, Business Winning, Supply Chain).
  • Partner relationships, joint governance and issue management and the importance of a Joint Relationship Management Plan (JRMP).
  • Creating Value through collaboration and monitoring/measuring overall performance.
  • Planned disengagement - exit strategy, triggers, positive aspects.
