Enabling Collaboration in Ecosystems to Unlock Social Value

Are You Collaborating to Deliver Social Value?

This full-day conference, jointly sponsored by ICW, Leeds University, Social Value Portal, Vercity and Sellafield, on 3rd October 2023 at Leeds University Business School in the historic Cloth Hall will explore how collaborative working across social, environmental and economic elements integral to all business ecosystems can lead to social value.

Why you should attend

Social value covers social, environmental, and economic aspects and are integral in all business eco systems. Following the 2021 update to the Social Value Model social value must be explicitly evaluated, where appropriate rather than considered, and is thus a fundamental requirement in all public sector contracts with several of the model award criteria requiring collaboration. The challenge of collaborating in eco systems to meet primary business and social value requirements with the diversity of players, commercial models and business drivers, is considerable.

This full-day conference will explore these issues and more with leading speakers from government, defence, aerospace, nuclear and rail sectors, conformity assessment bodies and academia.

What you will learn from the speakers and round table sessions

  • How industry is being stimulated to deliver social value.
  • Ecosystem Collaboration - The challenges and key building blocks needed for resilient collaborative supply chains and ecosystems.
  • How can Social Value options and proposed benefits be assessed fairly in Public Procurement and delivery measured?
  • The Challenges of enabling collaboration. A Space Ecosystem Case Study.
  • Blockers & Enablers to collaboration in eco systems - A Behavioural perspective - Case study.
  • How the Sellafield collaboration strategy is enabling SV development in the region.
  • A Standard for Social Value - Will the introduction of a Social Value Management System Standard help drive effective Social Value solutions.
